Creation 520 words

The student started his demonstration and the monitor is ablaze with an instantaneous nuclear explosion. The nuclear explosion itself is in slow motion.

“The reason we’re able to observe the explosion in this capacity is because it’s expanding at such slow pace that it becomes observable,” Professor Jones explained to his class of high school science students. These were advanced students who would be attending his classes next year and, he was instructing them in how to grow a miniature universe. A science project they could do at home so it will be ready by the time they start his class.
He has an indestructible globe ready for each student and the inside has all the air sucked out of it, creating a vacuum. A single atom is inserted that will explode when energized by two powerful laser beams. The explosion will release a cloud of sodium atoms. The globe itself will be ultra-cooled to temperatures a fraction of a degree above absolute zero.

Then the atoms coalesce into a single quantum mechanical condensate body. Shining a laser on the cloud tunes its optical properties so that it becomes molasses when a second light pulse enters it. The condensate body will slow the light, which travels a brisk 186,282 miles a second when unimpeded, to a leisurely 38 miles an hour by shining it into this cloud. Then the light will come to a complete halt by slowly turning off the laser. This is how the speed of the explosion is slowed to be observable.

The vacuum inside the globe becomes an incubator for growing a miniature universe. The growth is accelerated by a factor of 100, by spinning the globe at high speeds. This accelerated time within the globe and it takes less than a semester to grow a complete and functional universe. This amount of time inside of the sphere will be approximately five billion years.

“Professor Jones, would you look at my globe? Something’s wrong with the third planet from this small sun,” The student said, while pointing to a small blue colored planet. “What’s the problem?” Professor Jones asked.
“This whole section of the universe is being corrupted and the planet itself is changing colors.”
“Oh, Oh, looks like this planet is contaminated with the Human virus.”
“What do I need to do to fix it?” Asked the student.
“Once it has started changing colors and contaminating the space around it, it’s too late fix it The virus has spread and there’s no stopping it now. The only solution is to destroy it.”
“But that’s the only planet in my whole solar system that has life on it,” complained the student.
“I’m sorry,” said the professor, “but I’ve seen this before and once a planet gets the Human virus it will contaminate your complete solar system. You need to destroy that planet if you want to save your universe”
The student aimed and fired the high-energy laser at the third planet from the small sun and felt a tinge of regret when it exploded in blue flames killing the only living organisms he had created.
